No Cerbs completed yet (though there are two Chims already done - v8sag (NZ) and jellison). AFAIK there are 3 LSx Cerbs under way:

Me in NZ. Doing a complete rebuild as well as engine swap, lots of bodywork needed, short on time and money right now so completion date is a fair way out. Engine will be 450hp LS6 with T56.

shpub. First to start on a Cerb. Engine & exhaust fitted, can't be far off done now. LS1 with T5 (uprated internals)

brummiewedge. Late starter but seems to be going at it hard so may be the first to finish! LS? with TKO box

Think that's it... unless you're going to tell us you're doing one too

Heres some for you to have a peek at!

There should be plenty of space,i hope! as i have used the tightest bends i could get my hands on. These were courtesy (FOC!) from a mate who works at an exhaust place.
One side has the starter to route around hence forward and then back. The other filter access. Could have used stock shorty headers ( I dont have.) but these look LOADS nicer,IMO of course.
I constructed the headers lots of headsctratching and hacksawing, tacked them up. Craig at Dyno Torque where the conversion is taking place, is a whizz with a TIG so he welded em up fpr me.

Nice going to get the headers to fit so neatly - it looks like you've found more room there than I have, but maybe that's because your engine is just a little higher and further forward than mine (which I suspect is the case judging by these pics). What size primaries/exhaust are you running? I'm doing 1.75" headers and 2 x 2.5" pipes. 3" pipes would be better but there's not the room in the tunnel past my podgy T56.

Is that a mini hi-torque starter unit? What model?

Cheers
Don

Yep 1 3/4" primaries, this is meant to be believed the optimum size. I too will run 2.5" pipes with a balancer pipe behind the bellhousing. As Craig says std starter. cant say whether it is mounted higher than yours as i havent seen!.

Standard starter? Crikey.... how are you getting the exhaust past that?

Some pics here - I haven't done engine mounts yet so this may not be final positioning, I want to make sure the exhaust, aircon, etc will all fit first!

Heres a shot underneath past the oil filter

And one of the Nissan Micra Alternator with a bracket i made to mount it as close to the block as poss

Rear shot of the box

Along shot all the way back

Tommorow chop around 4 inches off the prop with new end to suit box, and get the exhaust to go all the way back.
Craig will hopefully get the 6.3 out the Mazda this weekend so i can get it shoved in mine. Then we will slap the body on a gallon of fuel and drive home!

Nice job... & the TKO gives you soooo much more room through the tunnel than the T56.

My winged sump won't allow the same routing you've used but maybe I can weasel it past. There's other options, but not as neat as this.

I've got a standard Camaro alternator & mount where you've got the Micra one, and Camaro power steering pump above on the same side. Just the friggin air con compressor to worry about....

You could fit an ls2 sump. It's better then the camaro but it's not as good as your (split wing) vette item but it might be easier for you. As for the alternator, you can shave the bosses down on the block and also modify the bracket. That should get you a whole centimetre

Heres how it goes the rest of the way. Aircon is going to be top mount i reckon. Siamesed balancer pipe about 7" long with about an inch cut all the way along.

That is an LS2 Sump.

Brum - looks the NaD's - what is the PCM set up for 95 or 98 / 99 Octane?

The ECU is remapped with a base map in, i am using the MBE original stuff see, but when the final set up is done i will go with Super unleaded, as its as much as i can get within reason, as it wont go that far, thats what my Passat TDi is for!

Wonder what the difference on on of these on optimum tune is set for 95 vs 98/99.

I like running mine on 95 and still get a sniff under 400 but wonder what it would do on if mapped on 99. Gonna get mine remapped again soon anyway (as exhaust has changed) but still on 95 octane (I know - Tight WAD)!
