Almost there, just a handful of wee tasks to complete before trying to get the thing registered. I had a longstanding issue that I couldn't get one of the bottom balljoints tight - the joint just spun in the taper. Put some new washers on, tried again, still spun. But now the nut's sufficiently tight that I can't undo it without the joint spinning Spent hours trying to get the nut undone but no joy. Last ditch attempt was to go for a wee drive up the road ans see if that would 'seat' the joint again to let me get the nut undone.

Motor fires up nicely...and clutch pedal goes through to the floor mad. Expect to see pool of fluid under the car, and I'm not disappointed. Hell's ferkin' teeth. It's only run 3 track sessions as a shakdown after the build. And the only way to get to the clutch is lift the engine and gearbox out as one. Jeez it was a tight enough fit when I put it in the bare chassis. It'll be 'challenging' to say the least to get it back out now the body's on (and painted). I even remember thinking as I was putting things together 'I wouldn't want to have to take this lot back out again in a hurry'.mad

These things are sent to try us. In the space of a morning I've gone from 'I might be able to get this on the road by the end of March', to 'if it's finished by the summer I'll be bl00dy lucky'. D@mn D@mn D@mn D@mn
