sensible cost - er NO. Plenty around - think I saw one on here somewhere in a thread some guy had a spare for sale. 267bhp - so pretty much in the ball park and mid k miles.

Sold my t5 and 500 (Serp) with 28k on it for 3250 and 425 respectively - I'd say 2500 tops for the lump and not sure on box but don't pay over 400 unless you can test in the car.

Good Luck.

The serp length is shorter by a couple of inches but the ancillaries are located wider.

Does that mean that you can't fit a serpentine lump in a wedge? ...or can you use the ancillaries of the original setup?

It fits.
The 520SE (almost SX) has a serp engine but none of the previous ancilleries fit. So Alternators, PAS etc all need to be changed. Pipes are also in slightly different position as well. Nothing that a bit (lot) of work and a bit more money can't solve though.

Go to www.t-v-r-services.co.uk and look at the gallery and engine upgrades.

Thanks. Another nugget stored away for the future project! ...."(almost SX)" Not there yet? I hope it's a smooth developmental learning curve and things are going well.

The basic setup is running with 500+ lb/ft torque and over 450+ bhp. Down to fettling and ensuring reliability now.

Yep all in and new OD CR box. Just finishing off - bag tank, electric - should be rolling soon.
