Posted the following pix on the Tuscan Challenge forum, but I guess not everyone visits there. After maybe 18 months, the car got wheeled back out the garage this morning. I'm happy enough to do the primer, but at £how much? a litre for Purple Pearl, it's off to a paintshop for the top coat.

Still not drivable, but not far off - only got to put in the pedal box and fit the steering column properly. But then there's still all the electrics to do, and build in interior etc....but it's getting there.

Apart from the panel gaps being, er, neater than a normal race Tuscan it should look pretty standard, but in truth pretty much every panel you see has been substantially remade or modified. For example, the bonnet wouldn't clear the chevy motor and carb but rather than cut a hole in it, its lifted maybe an inch and a half at the back and re-made so it fits but looks 'standard' (OK, not standard in comparison to an AJP car, but more standard than having a big circular chevy air filter sticking through the middle). I could go on, but one day I'll post photos of the whole build. But for the time being, here's today's shots....

Looks a bit incongruous to see a proper racer parked in the street! That's going to be so cool when it's finished - definitely my ideal TVR. I'd better get filling out those lottery tickets.

Hopefully it should get to a state where it can do a few track days towards the end of the summer; I'd really like to get to Croft for the BNG session but who knows - everything else has taken twice as long as I hoped. And assuming it's still in one piece after that I'll try to get the road-going stuff completed to get it SVAd late summer/autumn.

No LPG; new engine - big carb - big power - less weight
