I'd see Steve Heath's opinion on this, he has them on the monster wedge's 5.2 L engine.

They are usually associated with lary race engines with massively ported heads and long cams. I don't see anything to stop you putting them on more mundane engines other than the cost - what spec is the rest of the engine going to be?

If you're planning to use the std 48IDA weber downdraught manifold then you'll need some extra bonnet clearance, there are manifolds which are a 'swan neck' type which curve back over the rocker covers to keep the installtion lower or the best solution which would be a x-over type to give the best run to the ports. Sadly I haven't seen any of these for a Rover which is why I started making my own and then cunningly sold the wedge.....

Well I got as far as slicing most of an existing injection manifold out, sealing up the back of the water jacket ( so I could use the existing water pipes & thermostat) and then making up all the pipes and welding them to the flanges.
I was intending to make a pair of plenums and feed these from the front by a pair of throtttle bodies. It would look roughly like a ferrari 355 set-up

I've got the 2 throttle bodies ( off a renault 3.0V6) and was going to mount the injectors about halfway up the pipes to allow some sequential injection to do its stuff. I've also got 4 trumpets to go inside one of the plenums.

Might get round to finishing it one day. As I've now sold my Rover V8 engined car I've kind of lost impetus as you can imagine

I'll bung some piccies up once my girl returns for the weekend with her camera, but its probably amount another 150 quids worth of fabrication required to make the plenum chambers , machine the mounting faces flat and get some injector bosses turned up and then welded in
