I think a standard box will handle around 600lb/ft of torque,is there any mods to improve it and what is the max it will cope with in a light car.

Sitting in the back yard, with a glass of vino, I wrote you a decently long response, which my assholish phone promptly deleted. Thanks, Steve Jobs!

Basically, cryogenic gear treatment, bronze shift fork pads, and faceplating.

What's on your mind?

Are you at it, again?

Wishing you well, best regards,
Bernard.

I have bronze shifter fork pads, and a shot peen'd and cryo'd 3rd, as it stripped a few teeth off, change the oil from atf fluid so it's a quicker shift than a Ford Cargo.

I think it makes sense to fit the bronze fork pads, how many miles have you on your gearbox now?

I was steered off the bronze pads because of wear concerns. I also have the carbon fibre baulk rings in as I wanted a better high rpm shift. I use mine in my race car and so far so good after a season of 40 minute races.
