android (samsung note) to megasquirt connection

Has anyone managed to connect and android device to a megasquirt. I am just off to maplin to buy a usb to rs232 cable and wondered if there are any gotchas I have to look out for..?

diyautotune sell a serial 9 pin to Bluetooth adapter..works well.
Haven't tried a serial to USB on android.. Only on my XP pc

I have a bluetooth one. Cheapish one off ebay. I certainly recommend. Works well with both PC and phone. Looking forward to new version of MS Droid. Have had a couple of small issues with current version
