Six litre Space Heater
Discussion
Just thought I'd come back and post to let everyone know my T350T is complete with it's LS2 conversion.
It all started a very long time ago on another thread, but to keep it brief:- approximately 12 months to do all the spanner work, make adapters, Qaiffe g/box internals etc.. then 2.5years of electrical nightmare and mapping issues, the last attempt on the old system saw 94 miles on 50 litres of fuel and a sump full petrol....
That all ended this year when I handed the car over to Warren and his crew at Top Cats racing, with a GM loom ECU and drive by wire throttle fitted the car finaly works properly. I hadn't driven it much until recently because I had a dread of it breaking down (previously about every 3 miles) but on the 19th of June I headed off to Le Mans with all my friends taking bets on how far I'd get. 1200 miles later back in the uk I totted up the fuel for the trip and retuned a very respectable 23mpg (respectable for how it was driven). For those that read Sprint I will write at some point an article covering the technical bits. There's a lot I could say but I think it's already been said in other postings so I see no benefit. But what I will say is a big thank you to all at Top Cats for agreeing to sort it all out and doing such a stella job of it, I know of one other conversion the same as mine that Warren has since sorted, and by all accounts with the same result.
