Finally things are starting to come together. The LS2 L98 6 litre made 440hp and 600Nm of torque. I think it is impressive. Emissions were fine. Only thing they have to do now is setup the idle. As it made no sense to do this on the rollingroad the car was taken back home where this wil be done. The cold start also.
The car make more hp's than it did when it came from the UK with the "first setup", has more torque, sounds better, meets emissions!

An important improvement over how it was. Just wanted to share this with you all and tonight I wil see Bayern win from Arsenal and have a beer.

Really pleased for you especially after all your problems with a certain Mr we are not aloud to mention!
All the stress and headache will melt away when you first drive the car, are you planning on coming to any TVR events?
There will be a host of us including a good few cerbs @ Spa this Easter weekend if you want to come and play!

Great news Dutchie, looks like great power and the torque is brutal, at last some light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks guys. Although not everything has been done yet, this does look how it should. The KMS route was a costly one, but I think it was the only proper route for me. I stil have some other hurdles to take. The drivebelt system is a system that was made by the former converter and it ratles and doesn't look good. I saw pictures of a fellow "victim" where the drivebelt system fell apart. I was happy it did hold this rolling road session. I bought new brackets (and GM alternator)to change this. This still has to be done.

I also bought a T56 TUET 2066 (with the better ratios) 6 speed gearbox. Gearbox comes from a Vauxhall vXR 2007 with 32K. This means I will swap the CTS T5 somewhere this year. I still need to source a LS7 clutch kit and startermotor for the T56.

Yes, I really want to attend TVR meetings this year. Three TVR Continental meetings (in Zolder) went by when my car wasn't ready. The conversion started februari 2009!! If I feel confident, which I stil do not do because drivebeltsystem and gearbox setup isn't 100% to my feeling, I will attend a couple of meeting this year. The T5 CTS Quiafe box is fine, but I do not like the adapterplate, special flywheel, TVR clutch, slave and startermotor.

My God, what a conversion!!!! I will keep you guys posted................

We took the beltdrivesystem off to put a decent one on. The system that was on the engine was a system custom built by the former engineconverter. He milled pullies and made brackets of his own, but we experienced noise coming off these pullies. When we took them off the bearings just fell out! I was happy that they did hold during the rollingroadsession. I would not have come far with that setup, but far enough to have a serious transport problem to take the car home again!

Advice: take as much OEM parts as possible. Or tested and wellknow aftermarket bolt-on kits. These are tested.

I know I should post this thread with a picture, but the drivebeltsystem is now on. A/C and alternatorbracket came from kwikperformance. They switched places and the alternaotr is now a GM one. The A/C bracket fitted spot on, but we had to cut new mountingplates for alternator. Really nice setup! With a 6 rib belt. Cold start stil has to be bettered and the idle and then it should be ready. Other thing I have to do this year is fit the T56 box. Although the initial converter asked for a report from an independant, he does not want any contact anymore. My lawyer tried to contact him, but he refuses to answer. Taking him to court is covered by my insurance, so.....

I wil come back soon with pictures!

Ordered a LS7 clutchkit (flywheel/clutch/flywheelbolts/clutchbolts), starter motor, starter motor bolts, pilot bearing and clutch alignmenttool. Total costs are 1062 dollars incl. delivery. Already have a TUET2066 T56 gearbox. These are prices i like!In the end this is going to be a bullitproof car......

Hi make sure you get the correct spigot bearing as t56 and tr6060 ( late t56 looks like tr6060) has different bearings T56 has a needle roller andvthevlater has a normal bearing , both fit the crank ok but later is further out ( nearer the box) ,
