i'm putting an LS int my griff....ive put LS into a couple of cars before, but the TVR loom is new to me.

does anyone have a wiring connector diagram for this harness plug that connects the rover ecu loom to the TVR loom

other queries i have that i would appreciate some assistance

ive split out the tvr front loom, and that makes sense, other than how i need to handle fuel and rad fan relays

the water temp connector at the base of the header tank. is that used by the rover ecu to switch fans, and if so, by which relay

what are the 2 relays connected to the rover ecu?

i have the wires for water temp, which runs the gauge.

also the oil pressure gauge and oil light, and assume that i need to use a ETB type sender that will provide for both of these.

thanks for any help,

Ant.

Good luck and big brownie points for doing it yourself!! Wish i had the knowledge patience etc, i think when yours is finished that will make 4 No LS Griffs.
What LS engine have you gone for?
Would be great to see some pictures as it takes shape, you will not regret it the sheer grunt takes your breath away!!

i'd promised her indoors i wouldnt do this to the griff, after sticking ls1, ls2 and ls7 in my cobras (last one was a little tuned at 550 uk hp)......but another LS sort of fell in my lap...couldn't resist. I am on a real budget, so doing as much of this as i can.

I stripped the car to bare chassis over xmas, good thing is the chassis needed no repairs, engine and box trial fitted, along with headers. will be going back together with racing reds, polybush, elise seats brake upgrade etc, but externally unchanged

ill be getting the chassis blasted next week, and building up from the summer

have to say ive had some great help from a few chaps more familiar with the tvr and LS installs, (Ant, Jellison among others) who have probably saved me hours fiddling with the TVR loom.

i'm sticking with the t56 (as I have it already and really liked the 6th speed overdrive, which means i can keep a decent diff), and putting twin pipes down the side of the gearbox, so that i dont lose too much ground clearance (so far, about 15mm lower than stock) . the box fits fine, no chassis clearance issues, and i will be putting a shifter in the 'inspection hole', which puts the shifter up "sort of" in the right place, but i suspect that there will be a bit of messing with the shifter to get it right.

as a pre cat, i have a gkn diff, and am in 2 minds to swap it out for a btr, or keep it and hope it'll last. ..Ive made a rear bracket to fit the btr diff into the original chassis bush (15mm offset i recall), so i would need to make the front diff brackets this weekend before the chassis goes off (dont want to be outting the diff in and out over fresh chassis finish if i dont have to...

when i can work out how to post pics i will.....but i keep geting messages sayong no pic selected!
