If an instructor of advanced driving should get points on their licence, are there any area of business or policy that say they cannot be an instructor anymore?

Not that I'm aware of, I was a senior observer for the IAM whilst having points on my licence.

Police officers also have points on theirs sometimes (the scamera scum even get them !)

Whats the issue for you ?

I actually see no correlation between instructor qualification and points on licence, but an recent interesting discussion came round to the fact that past police instructor criteria required a clean licence.

I wondered if that had ever been the same for IAM or RoSPA.

So I'm not sure how that sits with any of the major instructor qual providers as quoted.

I suppose it depends what is for to some extent too. An MS30 might be viewed differently from a DD90

Personally I would expect that someone charging a fee for advanced driving tuition and/or an examiner would hold a clean licence. Volunteer observers with points is OK for me.
