I've just got in from driving home this rather wet evening and am wondering if could have perhaps done any more to help.
I was already on an empty roundabout when I noticed in my mirror that the scooter rider who had been a fair bit behind me quite clearly misjudged the amount of grip available and came off right at the entrance onto the roundabout. After a quick check around me I carried on right back round and parked up with my hazards on just behind where the fall was.
Here's a quick digram in paint:

The blue arrow is where the rider and scooter were after the fall.
The red X is where I was when I noticed the fall and the green rectangle is where I parked up.
The rider was already up and off the road by the time I got out of the car and we got the scooter shifted pretty quickly too. It turned out that all that was damaged was pride so no worries there, I'm just wondering if I could have done anything better to help.
I tried to get my car as far left as I could to make it as visible as possible for people coming round from the right and bottom entrances as well as people approaching from the top. Luckily the rider was off the road fast but what's bothering me is that if the rider had been unable to move, someone not paying much attention coming onto the roundabout from the top at 30 or more mph wouldn't have had enough space to stop in the wet.
Could I have positioned my car any better to alert approaching traffic if the rider had been seriously hurt and was lying on the road? I guess it was quite lucky that the rider was thrown right and mostly out of the way of people coming on to the roundabout.
Any advice and opinions would be very much appreciated as it's the first time I've done anything like this.

Best not to stop on a roundabout if possible, but that looks to be as good a place as any on that roundabout to stop.

This was my first thought before reading it, however if someone were not paying attention it would be better for rider to be protected by the car.
