As the title says ......... I just couldn't beat the insurance quote (by a country mile) !

Unbelieveable, gits, lol, the lady said they weren't even aware I'd resigned, so the nice e-mail I sent them, regarding me giving all my time freely, and the robbing bds upping my subs, so I could give my time freely, to keep a load of ex coppers in well paid jobs, who it didn't appear could organise a piss up in a brewery, did the trick !

So, not upset at all then!

Still, we all need principles we can stand by, just so long as they don't actually cost us any cash!! wink

Absolutely lol, you look at insurance costs on a group 16E car, or whatever group it is.

Ah well, it's £30, but at least it's an easy ride, I'm just taking the insurance discount, I ain't teaching for them, or attending their events promoting membership & giving demo drives etc etc.

I let my IAM membership lapse for about 6 months and then rejoined as it would save me money on my car insurance.

When I rejoined, the cheeky bds renewed it from when my membership expired rather than the current date. When I complained that it was a bit unfair charging me for the last six months while I haven't been receiving memeber benefits, they did change it to start on the renewal date though.
