Hi guys,

I'm not sure whether this is going to be the right forum for this request, so maybe a mod could move to somewhere more appropriate if possible? Thanks!

I've recently joined ERTSAR which is a UN recognised UK (Henley-on-Thames) based Emergency Response Search and Rescue Team (www.ert-sar.org.uk) - we're a totally voluntary non-profit charity (reg no. 1102722), surviving on donations and fund-raising events. We respond to national and international emergencies and disasters like the 2007 UK floods and the Haiti earthquake at the beginning of this year.

We'd like to offer some advanced driving training to our members - we have several fully qualified advanced driving instructors on our team --- my request goes out to anyone who may be in a position to offer us the free use of a track or airfield on which to practice for a period of 1 or 2 days in the next few weeks. Even more incredible (and I know how generous PHers are...!) would be if you could lend us one or two old bangers to practice with. I know it's a lot to ask for but any help would be greatly appreciated. In return we could provide you with fully equiped medical cover and/or stewarding/security for any type of event.

If you can help or know of somebody who may be able to provide any of the above, please get in touch.

Many, many thanks!
Justin

PS: Should I post a link to this thread under General Gassing or Tracks Days, maybe?
PPS: Plus I've just sold my Tuscan, so if anyone could help it'd really cheer me up! smile

I doubt you can learn much about advanced driving on a track. Why not do some observed runs like the IAM/ROSPA do? Limit handling skills may be nice to have but certainly not a priority.
