I was comming through the Blackwell tunnel this week, south to north. I found the number of signs bewildering but their seemed to be a 20mph speed limit through it. I tried to stick to that as there was warning of camera's but it was hard and very slow. I don't mind 20mph zones if they are needed like on narrow streets with cars parked both sides where it difficult to above 20 mph anyway.

Does anyone know the speed limtit for the Blackwell tunnel? Did I misread something or is it really that slow. Also there is a front facing digitial camera at the end a little before the 40ph zone resumes but nothing I could see in the tunnel, naughty.

30 mph south to north. From the hump about 1/2 mile before the tunnel till just after the junction north of it.

20 mph is for the roads around the south side, notice how the road signs get higher and higher at the same rats as you drop into the tunnel ?
