What exactly does it entail
Well, the link above goes to the information about the event:HPC website said:
The day will be a mixture of demonstration drives by HPC members, participants' observed drives, and lectures and workshops, given by a mix of HPC instructors, police advanced instructors and specialist experts. The emphasis will be positive and informative, aiming at giving participants insight into how they can take their driving on to new levels.
I'm sure there are a few people around who have attended previous events if you'd like to know more.Strangely Brown said:

I will be there - just need to book the day off work!
What exactly does it entail - I've been entered on behalf of a club I'm a member of!
By any chance are you a member of the U17CC? If so, great to have you come along. I met with a couple of the Committee a couple of weeks ago and so these invites came out of that meeting - seemed like a logical tie up to make. I still remember fondly the Magic Day at Castle Coombe last year - I came along to give passenger ride and it was great to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust in so doing. What exactly does it entail - I've been entered on behalf of a club I'm a member of!
I'll look forward to seeing everyone there on the day. If you'd like to know any more about the day, feel free to PM me.
Cheers

Indeed, that was me. Love the photo - the kids loved the rides. It was also great to see just how well all the U17s drove - really impressive.
Cheers
Oh, you're THAT Stefan, who gave the track driving talk at the YDD last year? Really enjoyed that, thanks. Shame I don't have the machinery worth taking on a track!Cheers

Last year:Reading the road, specifically corners.
Track driving and how it differs from road driving
Overtaking (this was a real eye opener)
You driving a club member around and they give you feedback. This happens twice.
Club member gives you a drive. Happens twice too, with the same members as above.
Oh and there is plenty of pretty machinery present too.
Never experienced anything such great value for momney TBH.
Just wanted to post a follow up post to this thread after the YDD on Saturday.
I had an absolutely fabulous day, really enjoyable and learnt a lot. The two HPC members I went out with (Mark & Brian) both gave me some really useful tips and ideas for future development, and I've been told to get in touch with Clive (having spoken to him on the day) with a view to doing the course.
To anyone from HPC reading this, I echo my comments on the day - really great day and you all seemed to be enjoying yourselves, and driving in a way I've not experienced before!
