Hi All

What driving attributes or skills would you most like to have Santa give you this Christmas?

For me it would be the ability to not be annoyed when bikers sit on my rear bumper. (Especially when they're Police motorcyclists)

Merry Christmas to All

The patience to proceed at the soon to come 50mph on virtually every A and B road.
Then, when that hasn't lead to KSI reduction, the 40 mph limit.
Idiots above, who seem to have the power to influence those below.
Where are the logical thinkers?

Come on now, less of the cynisism! We all know speed kills, the government told us so. Afterall, when the deputy prime minister drove her car into a parked car whilst involved in discussing important matters of state on her mobile she wasn't speeding, and no one was killed, so there, they've proved their point.

Hmm. I'd love to be able to double-clutch properly. Excellent fun when the exhaust pipe on my fiesta has a hole in it. wink

Start practising by doing it slowly.
Thinking it through, then when your limbs and mind have become accustomed to this, speed the actions up.
Although the speed will depend upon your vehicle and the attributes of it's controls.
Then it will become natural, such that you will be able to apply the technique when you want.
Double declutch, I'm sure you meant, by the way, is not considered useful, by many, these days.
I tend to often use the technique, then, I'm old.

It's difficult to do on my fiesta because the engine management won't allow the engine to spin up quickly enough to do it at any great speed (read less than 5 seconds per shift). I know it's utterly pointless, but it sounds cool.

One day I hope to own a muscle car and do 16 double clutched upshifts in a row, just like Steve McQueen. wink
