Just done a drift school morning down at Lydd water sports, or should I say Lydd International Raceway, it was great. I went there as an addition to the Walshy day I did a few weeks ago, you know find the limits and then try driving beyond them!

Firstly I'd like to thank some of the nutters that took me round for passenger laps, great guys (nutier than fruit cake some of them). Glad they steered clear of me in the afternoon when I decided, against my better judgement, to take the 111R on the narrow track to see if I could drift that. I did manage to get it to 'hang' briefly but it is designed to grip (Oh and I was rubbish). If you haven't seen these nutters you should go and have look. I thought the folks at track days were a little mad - the guys are in a whole other league.

Great day - recomended

Drifting's ok if you like going slow. If you want the ideal drift car try the MG B GT. I was showing some rice burners round Rockingham in mine. Great fun but don't expect to be able to drive home on the same tyres.
