PH Run - 16th Feb 2008
Discussion
As the last one was reasonably successful (or at least not so unsuccessful as to dissuade me from trying again), I'm proposing another day of fun, based on the edge of East Anglia. I'll keep to the same format: a number of drives where you are either driving your own car, or a passenger in someone else's over a range of testing routes. The aim is to see how other people do things and possible see some of the things mentioned in this forum demonstrated.
Decent pub lunch and the possibility of some evening drives before a curry. There's plenty of accomodation hereabouts if you want to stay over or we're right by the A1 if you don't.
It'd be really nice to see some fresh faces, especially some who aren't dyed-in-the-wool IAM or RoADAR members - it's about sharing experiences.
Anyway, if you're interested, e-mail me at stresseddave@gmail.com and we'll sort something out.

What area please of east Anglia are you thinking of? I am all for learning from others more qualified. I was going to have Adam (A-W) sat next to me as an observer on one of our Dawn Runs but the fuel pump decided to call it a day 3 mins into the run!
I think it may be a bit far for me though.

It's the Cambs/Beds border. A-W made it down for the last one I ran...I think it may be a bit far for me though.

ooooooo. Nice idea!
What's the format of the day; is there anything specific to it, or is it more general and take it as it comes? A nice idea, I'd certainly be interested.
You divide up into pairs - do the same route twice, once as observer once as driver and compare and contrast. Then you pair up differently and repeat. Last time round we got 6 pairings done during the dayWhat's the format of the day; is there anything specific to it, or is it more general and take it as it comes? To all those who dally on the edge of this, just email the OP and come along.

Peer review, as those in other spheres might call it.
Does that mean I get an invite to yours then. I'll bring the smokesIt is all about helping each other, it is not judgemental.

I know this is outside the tolerance zone, sorry Dave, but there's been a sudden change of plan at 3ST so I'm minded to nip down on 16th. Is it Eaton Socon just off the A1, as on Saturday 8 July 2006?
By all means shut me out if you've already got enough troublemakers signed up.
Best wishes all,
Dave.
