Improving my driving
Discussion
I want to improve my driving - especially control and smoothness...
There is a reason and it's currently a Z4 coupe, but I have ambitions to bigger cars in due course - but I don't want to knacker them by driving less well than they deserve.
So... I can make Hertfordshire and surrounds courses, or I can make courses in Yorkshire at weekends.
Anyone got any recommendations?
It's probably worth knowing I'm blonde and stroppy!

IAM or RoADAR.It's probably worth knowing I'm blonde and stroppy!
Will teach smoothness and basics of Roadcraft.
There are other professional advanced driving instructors out there who will charge £150-450 a day, but IAM/RoADAR are very cost effective.
I would offer a driving session, but the ex-wife was blonde and stroppy, so it would bring back memories.....
I'm running a day just up the road from you next Saturday. There'll be representatives of all the community from IAM/RoADA and at least one professional instructor too... mail me at stresseddave@gmail.com for more info if you're interested.
Hi both
I've had a pm contact from someone else who is in the Herts area who is also IoAM, so I am taking up that offer first. Depending on how I do, I'll be looking at IoAM or similar.
I'm a reasonable driver already (certainly not a basket case in need of a shopping car!!) but I have a new Z4 coupe that I don't want to drive like an @rsehole and a fairly critical partner! He's the one who says I'm stroppy.
I'd like to think I'm 'assertive'!

"Assertive", is it? I've had a pm contact from someone else who is in the Herts area who is also IoAM, so I am taking up that offer first. Depending on how I do, I'll be looking at IoAM or similar.

As far as I recall that was your alternative word for 'forceful'
...and it's all constructive criticism But would be better coming from someone else, that's for sure.
