So how do I start then?
Discussion
I passed my driving test. When the examiner told me I had passed, what I actualy heard was "you are gods gift to driving, I am honered to have been able to test you, and you should have no trouble in the future". I should have listened harder, because he probably said "well done, you have just about scraped through".
When my licence came through it had a flyer in it about doing my advanced driving test. I was quite keen, but my Dad suggested I should get a bit of experince first, and maybe a car & job so I could afford to run it would help.
I have been thinking for a while that I really should get round to doing something about it, but I have lost the flyer. ( well, it was 20 years ago ).
I have been reading this forum for a long time, and would like to learn more of what I have been reading about. My questions are :
How do get in touch with my local group, or do I get in touch with someone else, who passes my details on?
Realisticaly what is involved. Both financialy, and from a time point of view.

"Skill for Life" is their advanced driving package - £85 all in (local group might discount to £75).
It might involve a couple of theory sessions and 6/8/10 drives before a "test" with a serving/retired Advanced Police Driver (who is looking to pass not fail you).
http://www.roada.org.uk/ do a similar (cheaper) thing, but geographically are hard to find.
