Who do I See about the IAM in my area?

Its something that interests me, I'm 21, been driving since I was 17, and do quite a few miles. I'm interested because everday I see some shocking driving and I dont want this to be me..anyway...

As I can work out, the idea is to join some kind of local group, who can help you train to the correct standard before applying to do a test? Would be good to talk to someone in person.

I am based in East Leeds, so anywhere vaguely between Leeds/Harrogate/York would be good. Where do I look to find people that can help?
