Could ABS drop you in it?.
Discussion
Some one posted a thread recently about meeting a idiot coming towards you on a narrow country lane with their offside wheels on your side of the white line, If you pull too far to your left you would damage your P and J and they would bugger off leaving you to pick up the bill.
If you refused to wack the kerb and slammed on with ABS there might be a dispute as to who was actually over the white line if you hit each other, no skid marks, but if you don't have ABS and you slam on, the skid marks will prove where you were when you applied the brakes.
None of my cars have ABS so I might be missing an important detail.

Light car ABS operates too quickly for there to be a small series of marks. You do get such intermittent marks but as TripleS says, they're normally from LGVs which have slow working ABS systems and have wheel hop and the like happening.
That said ABS does often leave faint marks. Any Police accident investigator worth their salt will spot them.
