Apex.
Apex has different meanings depending on context. Most of the time, apex is used in the context of the driving line being the segment where it is closest to the inner edge of the track during a turn. A true apex is one where the curvature of the track/road is tightest, and should theoretically coincide with the apex of your driving line (when it is the geometric driving line).
The apex of an ideal racing line (aka. "classic line" ) occurs slightly later than the geometric apex of the corner. But just like in road driving, the correct line during a race is rarely the ideal one.
