Race Intensive Course
Discussion
Just wondering if anyone's done the race intensive course at silverstone?
I'm booked into the course this july in the formula first cars (didnt want to brave the full race gearboxes just yet!) so if anyone's got any tips for the course or if anyone's gonna be there this july let me know

Do exactly what the Instructors tell you and listen intently
Try not to spin whilst training
dont go out and try and prove you are the fastest...there's plenty of time in the future for that
smooth, brisk and accurate is the key
look for a good race pace and dont go over your limits
spinning or lairyness on the ARDS test is a big no-no
Go to bed early and get plenty of rest
Learn your flags and get to know them off by heart
drink plenty of water and try not to eat too much as the cornering can make you feel bad if you eat to much
dont worry if you are not the fastest..it is nice to be but this is not what the course if for
enjoy it
you will not ever regret doing it as it is money well spent.
