Was driving back from Gatwick this morning and on the dc that leads to the M23 was a patrol car stopped on the hard shoulder near the M23 roundabout. It had its rear red flashy-lights on and when we went past we definitely saw the driver take a bite of a bagette (several of us in the car saw it).
I consulted my Roadcraft book when I got back but couldn't see it mentioned either as a good thing or a bad thing! Must be ok then!

PS was going to post on the SPL thread, but they are much too serious and polarised over there!

Roadcraft does make mention of knowing the effect that lower blood-sugar levels can have on your attitude and driving ability.
Yes an omission on my part, these points are related I believe under the physiological impact of 'mastication peristalsis overlap'. I'm re-reading the relevant sections of Donutcraft now.
Ho Hum meant O well never mind.
You started the subject having a mild pop and said"you would have put it in SPL but", then i make comments that puts plod in a bad light and it gets BINNED, censorship? surely not.
Call a clamper, call a trucker, call a old guy, call a BMW driver, that OK they are fair game.

The incidents i had listed where in the papers so why BIN it.
If you had been eating a bagel on the hard shoulder and plod had seen you you would be looking at a fine right now.
Eat a sarnie on the HS, Fleace an old dear out of her life savings, where do you draw the line.
