Just to say that the IAM have very kindly let me move my skills for life pack to my local group, without having to re-apply or pay anything extra. I originally took it out in another part of the country, but only managed to go for one observed drive.

Thought it would be a good idea to try again, considering my lack of experience and after just getting my first RWD Car (MR2)...

No doubt I will have loads of questions to ask, and of course I'll let you all know how it goes!

Is there likely to be a problem with my age? (21) as a lot of people in the last group were much much older, and to be honest, I didnt feel that welcome there...

Cheers

Doubt it, see my reply in the "Another IAM/ROSPA/HPC question... " thread....don't be put off, the IAM group I just left had a guy training to be an observer and he must have only been 22 or so, having passed his IAM a month before.

Best of luck with it..

Thanks for the reply.
After speaking to them it seems that they are much more flexible than my previous group - who would only meet at a certain time on a certain morning for observed drives, which happened to coincide with when I had to work.
Definitely going to give it a go. Looking forward to it
