I think it depends on your actual age and driving experience. Are you 17 with a road licence?

Have you by any chance just read a certain little RZD's profile?

I also had the same dream but it isn't going to happen for me I don't think... I'll just go for the road license

Try there for info... but you really need to have been karting for at least 2 years to get going, and it would be quite hard to get a chance in to a scholarship type thing.. there are a lot of people like us

Good luck anyway, let me know if you get sorted with a license and uncle-dave.co.uk will sponsor you

Does it have to be racing? You can enter speed competitions at 17, if you can get somebody to provide the car ...

Hillclimb/sprint i.e. you and your car driving against the clock rather than wheel-to-wheel racing to finish in front of the other guy. It's safer, and there is a much wider range of classes and competitors to go up against - everything from your mum's shopping trolley to monsters that would give F1 cars a run for their money.

750 Motorclub have just formed the SAXMAX championship aimed at 14-17 year olds. Looks like they will even help you with your ARDS test.

Take a look at their web site for more info www.750mc.co.uk.
