Slipping standards

None of us is perfect (certainly not me) but this was a bit depressing. Driving south down the M40 this afternoon in poor light and rain, I passed a Jag S Type R hogging lane 2 and with no lights on. Glancing in my mirror to pull back across him to return to lane 1, I'm sure he had an IAM badge right in the middle of his radiator grill. Grrr!
A few seconds later I checked my mirror again and noticed he had now switched some lights on - parking lights! Perhaps the honorable member had lent his/her car to someone else?
