IAM 50th Anniversary

Hi all - Does anybody know what's planned for this year?

I've not seen anything other than what appears to be a hastily arranged track day in Feb.

I'm sure there's got to be more though.

At a local level all Groups have been asked to come with a Calendar of events. We're sorting ours out now. We'll be doing (amongst more things we haven't thought of yet) a lecture course, followed by a driving competetion (Driver of the Year) that will be open to IAM Associates, Members and the general public. We'll be doing some road safety stands in the local malls some weekends - and a few other promotional things. All intended to get more people to do the test and become members.

The Track Day thing looks like it was a last minute opportunity and is open to members only - so hardly much of a publicity thing.

I actually quite fancy the Track Day...
