ARDS for a 21st birthday present advice
Discussion
Hi everyone,
My son turns 21 in August and he plans on getting a track car as soon as he can afford one.
He’s had some limited experience in the past on track such as a day at Hethel in an Emira and he’s driven my Exige around Silverstone.
I want to get him the opportunity to get his ARDS licence and I’m looking for advice on the best place to do this. He would need to go somewhere that supply’s a car.
We are based near Nottingham but travelling isn’t an issue.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks

The Motorsports School is my pick for doing the ARDS test, they are based at Mallory Park so not a bad run for you.
But since the thread asks for advice, I would suggest it is a waste of money unless he has any actual plans to go racing. If the aim is to get on track via trackdays then the money would be far better spent on extra tuition once he starts doing them.
