For anyone interested in a club day out, All Motor Training - 01206-500507 - are opening a new skid pan at Silver End near Colchester.

Both Directors are retired Class 1 Traffic and one was Chief Driving Instructor.

I have no connection with the company and personally think that a half hour on a pan should be treated as a fun day out- or a taster for further qualified instruction.

I would love that! Do you use your own car?

Would a Cerbera be ok?

Yes,

Don't wash it before you go - took me two washes to get the oil off when I did it years ago!
I had a Class 1 in the passenger seat then he showed me how to do it for a while - lot of fun but don't think you are an expert after a half hour, I think the Police have around a week on it when training?

PS - A colleague visited the pan yesterday - you use THEIR cars - saves you washing the oil off!

Will do chap, would love to see the RS sideways Pics imminent, as in this weekend I'd imagine. I'll post up some shortly, those that haven't been affected have come out pretty OK!

Not taking the RS on a skid pan, never get the crap off it!

Tempted to do a Don Palmer day soon though. Once your car is fixed are you tempted?
