Need a bit of clarity on this - hopefully nothing too complex.

Imagine your comming up a road cars parked on the other side. Two cars comming your way, only one space to tuck in on their side. Do you tuck in? or do you make them tuck in/reverse down the road?

Yes, it’s legal and sensible driving by the dashcammer. It’s not illegal to park or drive on the ‘wrong’ side except in certain circumstances. Here there isn’t a ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ side anyway as the road is effectively reduced to single track and drivers need to work out the most sensible ways to pass one another.

If there's cars parked both sides then nobody has priority. I would pull in and let the incoming vehicle pass. If I pull in before the incoming car does, it means I'm a better driver. If both you and the oncoming car are waiting for each other and you decide to go, then indicate first.

As long as the manoeuvre was safe, I don't see any issue with this. It was just a case of "OK I'll come through.. Hang on.. Nope this won't work, give me a sec.." and nothing more smile
