Many thanks - I managed to meet up with John on my visit. Hadn't seen him for 16 years. He's still fit, by doing ballroom dancing with his partner, and still drives his Caterham 7 HPC regularly. Unfortunately I couldn't do a drive with him so I'll have to come back next year. Driving in UK still the best ever! Did about 3,000 miles but still didn't get to many of the places I wanted to. Will write up another thread on my trip.
