What's all this about IAM Fellowship? Is it like the Fellowship of the Ring, with Sarah Sillars as Lady Galadriel?
For an increased membership fee, you get a three yearly retest. The membership level also entitles you to some additional/free Surety insurance benefits (if you use Surety).SVS said:

It's a periodic [triennial?] re-test to basic entry level standard. It's intended for those who wish for an endorsement that their standard of advanced driving is being maintained. The standard will be the normal entry level standard. It's not for the faint-hearted - one strike [read failure] and you're out [that is, out of the IAM], no ifs, no buts, no demotion to "ordinary member" status, you're out; that is until you are able to successfully retake the entrance test again. It's basically a sop to the loud-mouths who want a triennial re-testing of the whole of the membership, just like what they do in RoSPA. Except, it's voluntary, so the loud-mouths have got to put their money where their mouths are and step up to the plate.
Virtually no one is going to be the least bit interested in IAM Fellowship.
