Followed a '65' plate Skoda VRS this morning. We were making good progress but as soon as I saw him I could tell he was not your average driver.
It was really good to see it in the real world and being able to actually see the road positioning etc gave me something to practice too.

So thanks, who ever you may be. An enjoyable and informative run thumbup

I was driving home along a nice road whose twists and turns I know well. I'd clocked a car behind me overtake the same vehicle I did a few moments behind me, and the positioning and speed gave me pause for thought. I found somewhere safe to indicate, slow and move to the left. When he went past it was patently a car on a driving course from the local constabulary, and I got a nice "thank you" salute as he went past.

I'd rather he was in front of me and be sure of what he was, than wondering all the time smile

Such cars are easy to spot. Very clean & usually with four burly blokes on board dressed in dark clothes. Driven by the book (or is that numbers?) & occasionally with a discreet sign in the back window declaring the vehicles purpose.
Such cars & occupants often spotted in burger van lay-bys having what Plod calls 'refreshments'.

Not always the case that the plod drive clean cars. A couple of years ago I was traveling through Bradford on a Sunday morning, dual carriage road out towards Leeds. There was a filthy black BMW estate parked in a lay-by, it looked suspicious and once I could see the front of the car through my mirrors I could see the blue flashing lights hidden behind the grill and a motorist having his collar felt!
