I'm having issues with how best to navigate the roundabout in the above link - A237 & B276 interchange when entering from the B276.

The end of the B276 has two marked lanes. I feel that if I am taking exit 1 (A237 South) then I should be in the left hand lane (1). If taking exit 2 or 3 I should be in the right hand lane (2).

The vast majority of the traffic turns on to the A237 pretty equally split between heading North and South. Very few go to exit 3.

Exit 2 is wide but not split into marked lanes. 20M further on it splits into two marked lanes ahead of a set of traffic lights. One 'right only', the other straight on.

At quiet / clear times other drivers use lane 1 to try and overtake me into exit 2 (this isn't an issue as depending on the circumstances I can act accordingly).

During rush-hour / busy times, trafic can build up onto the roundabout. This is when I'm having issues. When wanting to use exit 2, I think I need to be in lane 2 before entering the roundabout so that lane 1 is free for those wishing to use exit 1. Unfortunately, what happens is that everyone uses lane 1 regardless of which exit they wish to use. At these times, occassionally, people wishing to use exit 1 move into lane 2 and turn around the lane of traffic which then cuases issues when the stationary traffice starts to move.

Should I just follow the crowd and copy the rest and just use Lane 1 at busy times?

id use the left lane for the first & second exit, right lane for 2nd and third. just depends on how the traffic is flowing. pretty straight forward really.

O.K

Ditto

As long as those entering also exit in the same lane then there should not be an issue

This is what can be referred to as "a complete gangfk"

I'd use lane 2 as a default position - not only is it the most obvious natural choice for the northbound exit, it should keep you out of danger of being wiped out by someone trying to turn left from the righthand lane.

The Chiswick roundabout is another such ********, which never ceases to amaze me as, although it is doubtless a complex and congested system, it is excellently marked out.

Having studied the Google Street View, I would use lane 1 for exit 2. The HC says "most appropriate lane" for an intermediate exit, and based on the signs you see as you come under the bridges, that is lane 1.

If there were left arrows on the left lane that would be different.
