I'm thinking about getting this course for my sister after she passes her test as she doesn't like the sound of the I.A.M

Does anyone here know if it's any good?

Looks expensive - the "free" BTec award is only if you take 25 hours of paid-for tuition (at £23 per hour, or £210 for ten hours)

IAM Skill for Life would be far better value and probably look better on a CV

Pass Plus is also cheaper, and recognised by the insurance companies. It's pitched just right for someone who has only recently passed the test, and her ADI instructor can probably do it.

This is really designed to be used as part of a learning to drive package, not an after test add on.

Many ADI's are very qualified to do advanced skills after test, either as part of pass Plus or standalone lessons.

In the real world, Pass Plus will get her very little in the way of reduced premiums, she would be better off identifying what she wants to do in terms of driving improvement and either use an ADI of an IAM observer to target those areas.

It is important that her extra training reflects what SHE wants, not what the trainer wants to do.

It WAS but not now

Afetr a report came out a couple of years ago detailing that there were no differences in those that did PP and those that did not the majority of insurers gave up giving discounts for it
