Cobra 802T Immobiliser

Hi

Could anyone offer some advice on programming a new Cobra touch key? I have one working key at present & believe this is needed to add a new key.

Anyone had any experience of programming another Cobra model, perhaps the same method will work with the 802T.

Somebody suggested ignition on/off 3 times, on again, touch woking fob & then touch new fob but this was unfortunately to no avail.

Can anybody offer any further help??

Did you make sure that the immobiliser was in disarm mode when you did this? If it was still armed it will not work.

The procedure should be;

1) disarm system
2) ignition on/off 3 times within 7 seconds, LED should be solid.
3) Touch working fob. LED goes out for 1 second.
4) Touch new fob. LED goes out for 1 second.
5) Turn of ignition to exit programming mode.

I can confirm that I did disarm the system but I am unable to get the solid light after turning the ignition on/off 3 times. I presume that I should only be going to the second position on the ignition?

There are 2 blue dip switches on the back of the immobiliser unit marked 1 & 2...are these anything to do with the programming process?

From memory the above procedure should work, have you tried contacting Cobra

I sent Cobra a message several weeks ago but unfortunately have received no reply...I'll try again & let you know how I get on.

All sorted now thanks to the kind help from a Cobra installer. The dip switches do play a part in the programming process so if anyone in the future needs any assistance please feel free to message me.

Hiya. I have a Cobra 0802t fitted on my car and to the life of me I cannot programme another key fob. I have followed the of turning the car on and off three times etc. I have performed every iteration of this known to mankind. No matter what I do I cannot get the red light to stay on. Therefore, the programming mode is not enabled. Please help !
