Tom Tom TMC - it just doesn't work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just spent a week up and down the M4 / A34 with my newly TMC reciever equipped TomTom910 (bought Jul 06). Yes I have had the aerial straight, even tried it outside. How are TomTom getting away with selling their TMC reciever - it just doesn't work? Won't tune into an RDS signal AT ALL. I'm incensed as I've had TMC work perfectly in factory systems in BMW M3 and X5s 3+ years ago - they'd tune into the FM transmissions immediately all the time - why on earth are Tom Tom selling a system that doesn't work in 2007? What is going on? Is a fix on its way?

I want my money back, and while I'm ranting I want them to take back the 910 I bought too - one of the reasons I chose it back in July 06 was because TMC was on its way. I feel like I've been totally conned - they must have known the TMC solution they'd cobbled together was a total dud/wouldn't work when the new models were launched - which I suspect is why the TMC accessory didn't go to market until well after they'd sold loads of 510/910s to trusting consumers. Devious bar tenders. I now only have utter contempt for Tom Tom as a company after this.
