Money no problemo, just after what would be highly rated.
Once I get a new motor, I'll be driving all over the place, and I'd like to pre plan routes ect BUT I also would like to know if any speed traps have been set.

Any particular sets I should look at ?

The only advice I can offer for your situation is don't bother with RADAR/Laser detectors. It is already illegal in some countries (e.g. France) and will soon to be illegal in the UK.

Just get a GPS unit with a downloadable speed camera database. There are alot of choices so I will let someone else recommend ones with full European maps as I don't have that knowledge.

But if it just is normal Sat Nav with those options, they aren't going to know are they ?

I'm not sure but in France if they find a laser/radar detector (even switched off and in the boot) they destroy it on the spot - is it worth the risk?

Even a database/gps safety camera warning system is highly illegal in France. You WILL get nicked, you MAY go to jail...

And how many people know that it is illegal to use cruise control in Belgium? But who wants to go to Belgium anyway!

garmin Nuvi, 360 or higher. Full European coverage, easy to operate, good graphics, speaker not the best, but you can download UK camera database, TRUVELO, GASTSO's, Mobiles SPECS etc. Units start at around £300. Can't go wrong.

Well, the main driving I'll be doing is out here in Spain, so if those laws aren't applicable, I dont mind.
I'm not planning on speeding through France anyway, plus I wont be taking typical roads, scenic as possible

Ok, I'll take a look at the one you've suggested.
