I have a new model Tom Tom One Europe and it's great, apart from one thing....

When you go above 70 on a motorway the current speed display goes red and flashes. This is immensely irritating and I'd like it to stop if at all possible, can it be done?

Cheers!

Dont think its possible at the moment. I assume TT1 and the x10 series are the same but have a look here.

Only starts flashing at 80 doesn't it, just turns red at 71, there is a really obvious way to stop it flashing, slow down!!!!!
My brother has mine at the moment, but can't you just go into the setting and edit what to display in the menu bar and deselect speed, as you choose to ignore it you might aswell!!!!!

I only drive above 70 on my own private motorway

I want the speed display there, it helps to keep within '3 points' speeds rather than 'instant ban' territory, if it's flashing and red it's harder to look at with a glance and takes more concentration.

No it doesn't if you come up to a camera and it's flashing you know you are at least 10 mph to fast!
Another trick for the motorway is to set it so that it turns the map off at say 75mph, that way you know straight away when you are going the right(ish) speed (you get a picture of the next action rather than the 3d map)
