Just been looking on ebay at the Micro Fuzion laser detector, has anyone any experience of how good they are at laser detection?

They look very cheap at £40ish, just wonering if it is a worthwhile buy.

Cheers Guys

The thing went off every two minutes, I think it was picking up all sorts of signals ( except the ones I wanted it to ) Can't say that I remember it picking up any radars as it was always beeping anyway. Needless to say it lasted not very long in my car. The blurb that came with it seemed to measure up but I guess you get what you pay for.

From my experience you definately need a road angel, definately far superior to the micro fuzion in every respect.

It's a complicated system of levers and pulleys.

Right, I own a MicroFuzion, I've had it for a while, and here are some actual constructive comments :

1. It's very good value. Updates are free forever.
2. They don't update the databases very quickly, they seem to leave temporary traps in long after the traps have been and gone for some reason.
3. Only once did I get to a temporary trap and not find it in the database, but it might have been my fault for not updating for a while.
4. They do "moan" a lot, but it's probably better, because it tells you where all the possible mobile trap sites are.
5. It "only" gives you 500yds warning for mobile trap sites, which is an issue, because the bastids trap from much further.
6. The display is not very good in a convertible, it catches light and makes it hard to read. In a tin-top, however, it is great.

All in all, I am actually quite happy with it, especially for the money. Having said that, I still think a top-end unit is a better buy, but you pays your money, etc.
