Tom Tom One ????'s

One of my clients has given me an old Tom Tom One.
(They had 3 of them and haven't been used in quite a while)

They came from their old pool cars and were surplus to requirements

It powers up fine, but then flashes up a red X and symbols to remove the card (which I have done)
then it has the symbol to insert card (which I have done) and tells me to to remove card



any suggestions much appreciated!




could the cards have been muddled up? do you have to have the correct card in each unit?

Looking at this www.expansys.com/ft.aspx?i=112333&thread=2400 it seems the SD Card is blank or corrupt, you need to get the original software and reload it to the SD card.

At a guess anyway

Why does a freebie always end up being a pain in the ar5e?


could I just swap the card for one of the others??


EDIT: Ahh Haa! Just tried the card in my computer - coming up card error!!

SD cards are chip as chips. I got a 2 gb for £12 from Amazon.co.uk
