Hi All,

Please excuse me if this is a dumb question (I'm very new to the world of sat nav).

Is it possible to conect an external speaker to my Nuvi 360 Sat nav?
Two reasons for doing this: 1/ So I can use it a bit more like an mp3
2/ My car has a sports exhaust - and I can't hear the directions!

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Regards

Ian

The jackplug on the bottom right hand side is NOT a power socket - it is a headphone socket. The instruction manual is wrong - and the 660's manual has corrected this error.

Or you can plug it in to an 'aux in' port on a suitable car stereo, I would imagine.

I've just tried it with some amplified speakers - works fine listening to the MP3 audio clips!

Ian you can also plug in one of those little FM transmitter gizmos, and play everything through your car stereo. Worked OK in ours.

Inside wiper blades haven't yet proved to be a problem, but may need to invest in some incontinence pads as I keep peeing myself with excitement!

Perhaps you should also fit some sort of "Drain tube" arrangement!!!!

Depending upon how much you wish to spend you could always hook it into a hands free phone speaker plus small amp. My guess would be somewhere around £200 max, inc leads, speaker, amp etc. This solution avoids it messing with you Audio system.
