I'm thinking about getting the Pioneer AVIC-X1BT or something similar. First of all should I be looking at the Kenwood or any other models instead or the Pioneer?
Secondly where shall i go to get the best price? I live in West London but equally would be happy to buy the unit and get it fitted separtely.
Thanks

I had the Avic-X1R for about a year and then upgraded to an X1BT recently. I did look into the Kenwood and Apline options, but the Pioneer has them beaten on all counts with exception of Apline's audio qualities.

I like the Pioneer because the Navigation is acceptable, the phone connectivity is a god send, the new Ipod interface works reasonably well, and it sounds and looks good.

Be aware, however, that it has its flaws! Google Avic Forums and you will find the site that has the most info on this product.

I got mine from www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/ - they were priced competitively and did a good job on both occasions. They are south London.

Get the Ipod interface and then get a seperate Ipod tha tyou can leave in the car all the time - I have 30 to 40 gb of music on tap at all times and it is really good.

Good luck!
