Tom Tom with Medion pdappc250

I have managed to install Tom Tom onto the medion pocket PC series such that I have both Navigator and Tom Tom working.
The Tom Tom is installed using NMEA GPS cable at 4800baud and using S2410 Com1.
Initialising Tom Tom works perfectly, but does not register either the satellites or speed, otherwise everything works.
Anyone know the "hack" to solve this.
