Sorry another Origin Topic, but has anyone had any problems updating their unit at all?

I have had it two weeks now, had a faulty connection lead replaced and have yet to even be able to update it, I get a series of problems, (cannot connect to the internet) Yes I've disabled all firewalls and the like, (cannot connect to comms port 1) God knows that to do about that, and this is the most common, and when in the slim chance that it does start to update It stops under half way through and commes up with Error and a number ranging between 0-20.

If anyone has any advice please spill as I'm losing my teather with this thing and I havn't even used it yet!

I had this repeatedly when I first bought my unit.
I ended up calling Origin and getting their tech support guy to talk me through the connecting the unit.
IIRC the problems were to do with the COM port being incorrectly assigned hence the PC couldn't see the unit.

Eventually it proved such a hassle that I bought the USB cradle - no issues with this at all.

From memory, the easiest way to sort the issues with the serial connection is to plug the cable in, connect the unit, reboot the PC with the unit connected and then try each COM port in turn.

Sorry I can't be more help, but even Origin weren't sure.
