Im looking for a sat nav that also has the speed camera alerts on it, which is the best one to buy for under £275, must beable to display your speed and be battery or cig lighter useable... Do you have to pay for the updates each month??

Most Sat Nav systems allow the import of external point of interest databases, TomTom certaintly does.

The speed camera database used to be free but now its a subscription service on pocketgpsworld.com

You can buy individual releases or an annual membership.

I use checkpoint Speed camera database. Still free and its very accurate :-) WOrks nicely with tom tom.

I find the checkpoint software really good but dont like the interface to tom tom. So I just use it to sync the database then use the POI settings in TomTom to warn me about the cameras
