traffic & traffic light cameras

hi all,

Apologies if this is (undoubtedly) a repost. I'm looking to buy a new GPS pre xmas (the streetpilot is a bit old now but an absolute beut when bought for US road trip few years ago ) .. great gps and speed camera detector goes without saying.. so i'm thinking snooper sirius/ tom to 910 or 710. across europe essential; if US and canada possible with/without uploads fine my be.

but the icing on the cake would be 1. traffic light camera detector (I get a bit paranoid if its too long on amber!) and 2. guidance for real time traffic, both would have me jumping for joy.

any guidance/thoughts appreciated,

you can't get a detector per se, but if you buy a tom tom or garmin you can easily download them as a point of interest

Number one isn't too difficult to deal with, I'm not sure if the TomTom/Road Angel or Origin databases includes traffic light cameras (some view them as a lesser evil than scameras), I know the pocketgpsworld can be used by Garmin, TomTom and many other devices. That database has 991 red light cameras.

Real time traffic information (and avoidance) is supported by most high-end systems now, but make sure it's a TMC radio signal based system rather than a subscription over GPRS, as the TMC signal is free, and to my knowledge equal or better than the subscription data.
